Healing and aromatic drink from fireweed, known as Ivan-tea, was used in Rus' for a long time. Following the ancient recipes allows us even nowadays to obtain a fragrant drink with an original taste and very specific, delicate, fruity notes.

In Rus' Ivan-tea was considered to prevent or cure 90% of all known diseases of that time. Ivan-tea can be brewed up to 7 times without compromising on its taste and useful properties.

Infusions of fireweed have a calming effect on the nervous system (without decrease in concentration or drowsiness), and also have a beneficial effect on the state of the gastrointestinal tract. This effect is explained by the presence in the leaves of a large number of mucus, as well as special compounds (tannins), which provide pronounced anti-inflammatory properties. Among a large number of medicinal plants with anti-inflammatory effect, Ivan-tea takes the first place. In folk medicine it is widely used for peptic ulcer, gastritis, colitis, etc.

It is also worth mentioning that fireweed is rich in vitamins (the amount of vitamin C is equal to black currant) and microelements necessary for the body. Ivan-tea contains about 70 useful microelements (2/3 of the periodic table) and serves as an excellent prophylaxis for a variety of diseases. It can invigorate and soothe at the same time. The weak infusion of Ivan-tea creates the effect of a surge of strength and energy, and a concentrated drink contributes to a fast relaxation and a sound sleep.
