Blueberry leaves, galega and Rhodiola rosea have a hypoglycemic effect, proved by clinical trials and experimtnts. The first two plants directly stimulate the pancreas, helping to increase the production of insulin. Rhodiola rosea has a similar effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary system. The rest of the herbs help to restore metabolic processes disturbed by excess of sugar in the blood. Moreover, nettle prevents vascular pathology - one of the most common and serious complications of diabetes. Chaga stimulates metabolism. Motherwort provides sedation. Russian licorice Glycyrrhizic acid infusion gives sweet taste.
In case of insulin dependent diabetes Alfit-10 is used as an addition to the basic treatment.
In case of milder forms of diabetes the supplement can be as effective as a special diet.
